The concept of Illuminating Gardens was born when Phil Thompson, who worked for an award winning garden lighting company, moved from London to Stansted Mountfitchet in 2016.
He enlisted the help of Matthew Taub, with whom he had worked with on numerous successful projects, and together they teamed up and created illuminating Gardens.
Phil’s extensive knowledge allows him to offer customers the very best advice on how to effectively light a garden to create a visually stunning space.
It’s one thing knowing why to light a certain tree or feature, but you also have to know how to, and this is where Matthews expertise comes in.

As recognition to the quality of their work, in February 2019 illuminating Gardens were approved by IB Lighting to become one of the UK first suppliers and installers of in-lite, one of the worlds premium manufacturers and designers of exterior lighting products.
